Out On The Weekend 2023 
Out On The Weekend A one-day festival of Americana and alt-country aural treats coupled with tasty eats and drinks on Saturday 14 October in the sweet seaside suburb of Williamstown.
First act announced is Grammy Award-winning and ultimate American Western swing supergroup ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL, who will be making their long-awaited Australian debut after 50 years of touring the world. Featuring stalwart member and founder RAY BENSON, LUCKY OCEANS, JOSHUA HEDLEY and BRENNAN LEIGH the band bring their massive repertoire of chart-topping country hits covering all forms of Country and Western music all the way from Austin, Texas.
Welcome back WILLIE WATSON – one part of the classic OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW brings his solo troubadour country sounds to the Out On The Weekend stage.
In her first trip Down Under, our favourite ramblin’ country soul singer MELISSA CARPER performs her old-timey gold sound complete with a sensational record out now and new songs to play and please.
Picked fresh from the Peach State of Georgia, country-rockers THE PINK STONES finally get to deliver a full serving of cosmic country in their first ever Australian appearance. Their hot new album You Know Who is out later this month!
On the local front, we rejoice in the rollicking country drawl and deep emotion of WATTY THOMPSON and his band and introduce the tear-soaked alt-country songs of CHARLOTTE LE LIEVRE.
In the continuing tradition of honouring musical giants of the past, this year we celebrate one of the greatest and diverse singers of all time, LINDA RONSTADT. We will pay tribute to the halcyon days of Linda’s seventies sounds with Violet Town country cowgirl ELLA HOOPER out front of an all-star backing band. Slip on your silver threads, head on to the Blue Bayou, it’s so easy to be willin’ with Linda.

Enjoy a fine ferry ride from Docklands over to Williamstown and back with a boat full of like-minded, cowboy hatted revellers. The all-in ticket price includes festival admission, ferry transport, surprise musical acts on both journeys, complimentary snacks on the way over, and a commemorative, hand printed, poster at the end of the night. There is a full bar service on board and the good times sure do flow on this one.
