Williamstown, VIC – In celebration of World Ocean Day, Seaworks is proud to present a free public screening of the critically acclaimed David Attenborough: Ocean on Friday 6 June 2025 – for one night only.
This powerful, visually stunning documentary from the world’s most respected natural historian dives deep into the extraordinary worlds beneath the waves. Narrated with Attenborough’s signature wisdom and urgency, Ocean reveals the beauty and fragility of marine ecosystems – and the urgent need to protect them.
The screening is made possible thanks to the support of the International Congress of Maritime Museums (ICMM) and generous partnerships with the Melbourne Maritime Heritage Network, and Offshore Specialty Ships Australia. Sun Theatre Yarraville will also be onsite selling their world-famous choc tops, bringing a classic cinema treat to the waterfront for the evening.
In honour of World Ocean Day, ICMM member organisations from around the world have united to jointly screen Ocean with David Attenborough. These global community screenings are generously supported by the Minderoo Foundation.
The film will be screened indoors at Seaworks Maritime Precinct in Williamstown, building on the momentum of its acclaimed international exhibition, Ocean Photographer of the Year.
