Parks Victoria is developing a pivotal plan ensuring the sustained growth and effective management of the historic seaport of Williamstown.
The focus of this report is the five essential piers and jetties: Workshops Pier, Commissioners Jetty and Boyd Street Pier at Seaworks as well as Gem Pier, and Ferguson Street Pier. Furthermore, the plan tackles sedimentation and the provisioning for sizeable vessels such as tall ships, commercial and leisure vessels. The scope of this initiative excludes the Ann Street Pier.
Parks Victoria has undertaken an extensive consultation in the plan’s formulation phase. Collaborative dialogues have been fostered with Traditional Owners, and pivotal insights have been gleaned from focus groups involving key stakeholders and users.
In a bid to involve the broader community, Parks Victoria now extends an invitation for invaluable feedback on the draft plan. Parks Victoria are now inviting wider community feedback on the draft plan to help shape the development of the final plan, which is expected to be released later in the year.
