Sway is an emerging Australian vertical arts company that uses a unique combination of sway-pole apparatus and bespoke performance equipment fusing circus and physical theatre.
SWAY engages and collaborates with a diverse range of creative, multi-disciplinary skilled performers and specialist production teams to perform accessible, highly visible performances in broad contexts across the world.
Over the past 15 years, Phillip Gleeson (former creative director of Strange Fruit and independent maker) and Emily Ryan (former associate director and performer at Strange Fruit, independent circus maker and artist) have been responsible for the creation and delivery of performances at more than 400 international festivals in 30 or so countries and to an estimated live audience of over three million people.
