Create, Learn and Play

With a blast of the Gellibrand Pile Light fog horn the new Creative Technology Hub was officially opened on March 1st, 2022 by Melissa Horne MP. and the Minister for Local Government Shaun Leane MP.

This makerspace located within the Seaworks Maritime Precinct is a partnership project between Seaworks Foundation and Hobsons Bay City Council.
The Creative Technology Hub (CTH) is funded by GANDEL Foundation and the State Government’s Living Libraries Fund, with additional sponsorship from Toyota Motor Corporation, Raeco Library & Learning Space Solutions, and AVJennings.

The CTH team work alongside library staff using technology and a ‘play to learn’ model as a hook into learning.

Programs and activities will focus on STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics – essential 21st century skills to provide opportunities to skill up, re-skill and obtain new employment opportunities.
